We’ve all heard the Italian phrase ‘La Dolce Vita,’ which translates to ‘the Sweet Life.’ The phrase represents a philosophy of savouring everyday pleasures, embracing a lifestyle of leisure, and enjoying the finer things in life.
What a treat it was discovering the Italian-inspired feast of La Dolce Vita at the Old Bakery at Babylonstoren.
The four-course set menu starts with a selection of antipasti and salad offering, followed by homemade pasta then moreish wood-fired pizza. The meal is then rounded off with a delicious dolce.
The food was unbelievably tasty. Each course was beautifully prepared and full of authentic Italian flavour.
The atmosphere was electric and lively.
The staff were professional and friendly making me feel right at home.
It was a truly splendid dining experience that captures the essence of La Dolce Vita.
The Italian evenings are held on Monday, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Dinner is served from 6pm and Booking is essential.
