#FlashBackFriday is about an amazing picnic experience I had at Warwick Wine Estate that was booked by a friend on our Girls Weekend Away in Cape Town. The concept of the Wine and Picnic is so well thought out, I particular like the relaxed environment, open space and lovely dam.
We were booked in one of the Pods with a beautiful setting besides the dam.
The gourmet picnic baskets are well presented, I particular like the presentation, the food is delicious.
It was an afternoon well spent, in beautiful surroundings with amazing food and great company. Forgot to mention the most important thing about visiting a wine estate is the WINE…apparently it was really good…and feels light on your palette.
The service we received was questionable, it started off well but ended with an unfortunate incident with one of the waiters. I will not get into the details of what happened but it reminded me of the race dynamics in Cape Town. The sad part was that our own African sister disrespected us as paying customers.
I still recommend a visit, it’s a great day out with friends and I like the fact that its child friendly. It’s one of the places that I will make a return.
